John Preston is a Certified Personal Trainer, and Adventure Boot Camp Instructor and licensee. John has been helping clients improve their health, fitness and lives for fourteen years. He holds certifications from both the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). In addition, John has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology with an option in Athletic Training from California State University Long Beach.

John left a career in the Film Industry in 1993 because he wanted to share with others his knowledge and experience on how exercise and nutrition can positively affect every aspect of one’s life.

John utilizes a balanced, progressive approach to fitness. Through proper instruction, motivation, dedication and education, John will help lead you to achieve all of your health and fitness goals. John loves listening to clients describe their goals and creating a program that helps them achieve those goals. As part of helping his clients John analyzes their functional abilities, limitations and muscle imbalances and proactively works to correct any imbalances. John love’s that every client and training session presents a unique challenge.

He is very comfortable with a wide range of clients. As an educator, John wants his clients to understand why training a certain way or focusing on a specific muscle group is important. He understands that exercise and proper nutrition must be balanced into his clients overall lifestyle.

John enjoys developing a professional, honest, caring, and friendly relationship with all of his clients. John says, “When I see my clients move better, look better, have that ‘glow’ that healthy active people have, I know I’ve make a difference”.

Outside of the gym John enjoys hiking, especially in the mountains of Arizona and Colorado, and the Grand Canyon. During the summer John enjoys wakeboarding and is an avid downhill snow skier in the winter.

If you are truly ready to get into great shape, choose to start! Commit yourself to making changes; that is the only way to improve your health. “Your old habits have led you to where you are. Your new habits will lead you to where you want to be”.

Mark Norton
Mark Norton
Personal Trainer
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Licensed Adventure Boot Camp Instructor

Mark Norton has been studying fitness for 17 years and helping people to live fit and healthy lifestyles for more than 14. In 1996, Mark graduated with a B.A. in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado and, since then, he has been certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the NSCA (2006). He also has certifications through ISSA (1996), ACE (1997), NCEP (2001) and NCSF (2002).

But his passion for health and the biomechanics of the human body started long before then. As a child, he was active in tennis, football, wrestling, weight-lifting, soccer and gymnastics. And by age 15, he had designed his dream gym. While at college he competed in tennis, and, by 1993, he became a fitness and tennis instructor. Unlike most of us, what Mark wanted to do when he grew up was exactly what he was doing.

In 2005, he placed 3 rd at the Arizona Natural Bodybuilding Competition. Today, as a strength and conditioning specialist, Mark’s training style is a combination of his extensive knowledge of the inner-workings of the human body and his love for a variety of physical activities.

As a result, his style blends Olympic lifting, functional training, core training, body-building, Yoga, Pilates, dynamic flexibility, Kettle bell, assisted stretching and corrective exercise. To Mark, fitness is a way of life, and variety is an essential spice to staying motivated.

But fitness as a way of life means different things to different people. For an 80-year-old woman, it may mean reducing dependency on prescription drugs and pain, for a high school hockey player, it might mean increasing muscle, flexibility and power. There are many variables that play into the optimal fitness routine. Mark’s creativity in integrating a variety of techniques ensures each client gets the personalized results they seek.

Mark’s goal is to help everyone live a better life. But just because he cares, don’t expect a softie. He knows your limits, and he’ll continually push you just past them until you start to see results. Because his technique is so customized to each person’s body, age and goals, he’ll build a program that succeeds for you. That’s why he has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. So, your only risk is not getting started on a better you today.

CarolynCarolyn C. Corritore
B.S., CSCS, ACSM., CYI

Carolyn Corritore is the instructor for our Fountain Hills Boot Camp. Carolyn holds certifications from National Strength and Conditioning Association and American College of Sports Medicine, and an Occupational Certification in Yoga from Scottsdale Community College. She holds Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Arizona State. Carolyn has been involved in helping others reach their fitness goals for over 20 years. For her, fitness is both and way of life and a way to enjoy life.

Carolyn takes an overall approach to fitness, including many disciplines based on the client’s ability level, past injuries, and fitness history. Having been involved in sports most of her life, Carolyn can draw from her personal experience in triathlons, open water swimming and yoga. She has competed in every distance of a triathlon, as well as swimming and running races. She believes that yoga is a great complement to many other forms of exercise by improving balance and joint mobility.

According to Carolyn, helping people achieve their fitness goals is extremely rewarding. As a person gets more fit, their health and general overall well being is increased. She loves the challenge of helping beginners, (as well as those who are ready to take it to the next level), improve their fitness safely and gradually. Preventing injury is one of her primary concerns and workouts are designed accordingly. She also feels that analyzing likes and dislikes can help develop a work out program that is unique to the individual.
